Policies for use of Good Stuff News
Users of Good Stuff News must abide by these policies. Failure to do so will result in sanctions which may include temporary or permanent restrictions on access. If your access is restricted as a result of any policy breaches, yu will not be able to claim a refund for any unused time.
- Sender Addresses and other personal identification
The "From:", "Sender:", "Reply-to:" and "Organization:" headers must be set to values that you have the right to use. You are permitted to transform ("munge") your email addresses as a spam-prevention method, but the resulting header must still be one which is unique to you and which you are permitted to use. - Spam and Flooding
You are not permitted to use Good Stuff News to post spam, Usenet floods or other abusive forms of posting. The standard Usenet definitions of spam, flooding etc will be used. - Group Charters and General Netiquette
You are expected to abide by the charter of any group to which you post, and abide by the usual standards of Usenet conventions. - Binaries and HTML
Good Stuff News only carries text-only groups. You are not permitted to post articles in anything other than plain text. Forbidden formats include, but are not limited to, HTML, rich text and any form of binary attachment or encoding. - Control Messages
You may not post any control messages via Good Stuff news, with the exception of cancels/supersedes for your own articles. - Moderation Headers
You may not post articles containing moderation ("Approved:") headers via Good Stuff News unless you have the authority to do so. - Actions detrimental to the server or other users
You may not carry out any actions which are detrimental to the normal functioning of the server. This includes, but is not limited to, excessive consumption of resources.
